Employee Spotlight: Angela Monsef

Pacific Crest Savings Bank Senior Loan Processor Angela Monsef had dedicated the bulk of her 20-year career to coming up the ranks in residential lending when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. In early 2020, as interest rates dropped and the demand for housing grew, the industry boomed. But as supply chain issues, affordability and other factors began to come into play, the high volume many residential lenders were experiencing came to a halt.

Looking to diversify her experience, Angela brought her decades of loan processing qualifications to Pacific Crest’s commercial lending team in 2023, which has proven to be an ideal fit.

As Pacific Crest Savings Bank’s Senior Loan Processor, Angela works directly with clients to guide them through their loan applications, gathering data and files while collaborating with the Pacific Crest team to evaluate, process, and close the loan. She enjoys her work because no loan is the same, “it’s a challenge, but the nuances of each loan and their unique circumstances are a big part of what keeps lending interesting,” she says.

Angela started her mortgage lending career as a loan processor at Bay Equity in Everett, where she quickly fell in love with the relationship aspect of working in client services. She’s carried that passion over to her work and the clients she serves at Pacific Crest and is happy to have joined a collaborative team.

She was born and raised in Charleston, SC, before moving to Washington as a teenager, and currently resides in Lake Stevens with her family. In her free time, she sings in the Mill Creek Chorale, an adult community choir that performs throughout the Puget Sound region – and even internationally. Along with her family, Angela also enjoys exploring and hiking through some of Washington’s scenic destinations.

“At first, I was hesitant to transition to commercial lending because it was unfamiliar, but after my first few times talking with the team at Pacific Crest Savings Bank, I noticed they’d all been with the company for significant amounts of time, and that spoke to me. That tells you a lot about a company.”
